Three-Day Experiential Psychedelic Integration Workshop

You’re warmly invited to our

Three-Day Experiential Psychedelic Integration Workshop

Presented by Dr Bessel van der Kolk and Licia Sky

Heartlands, Montecollum – near Byron Bay, NSW

Saturday 4 April at 3pm to Tuesday 7 April morning

Set at the magnificent and sacred Heartlands Retreat, this three-day experiential workshop is an intimate, practice-rich space for therapists who want to sit more confidently with the full spectrum of psychedelic experiences—including the beautiful, the confusing, and the truly terrifying. Together in a small cohort, we’ll slow down, listen closely to the body, and explore how art-making, journaling, sounding, and parts work can help difficult journeys become more liveable; meaningful stories rather than isolated “bad trips.” The tone is relational, grounded, and deeply respectful of each person’s inner wisdom; you’ll have time to be a participant, not just a clinician, so that what you take home is felt, not just understood.

Along the way, we’ll also widen the frame, looking at how states that may feel destabilizing in a modern Western worldview are held as familiar, and sometimes even initiatory, within other cultural and ritual traditions.

You’ll leave with practical tools and a more spacious lens for your clients’ experiences, as well as a sense of being accompanied in your own work in this rapidly emerging field.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe a multimodal, trauma-informed framework for psychedelic integration that includes somatic, creative, and relational dimensions.
  2. Facilitate at least three integration practices (e.g. art-making, journaling, sounding/toning) to help clients work with difficult or terrifying experiences.
  3. Apply basic Internal Family Systems–informed parts work to psychedelic integration, including unblending from fearful or protective parts.
  4. Articulate at least two cultural perspectives on non-ordinary and “frightening” states, and use this understanding to offer de-pathologizing, culturally humble reframes in therapy.
  5. Co-create with clients a simple, sustainable integration plan that can support both recent journeys and years-old unprocessed “bad trips.”
